I don’t mean the kind you see in a Latin telenovela.  The one where your evil twin sister pretends to be you, pushes you off the stairs and then takes up with your lover. I mean the good kind…the kind that makes you smile randomly on the crowded train on the way to work and makes your heart pump a bit faster. When you find yourself in a relationship that’s lasted more than half of your life,  you know it may be time to call for reinforcement to bring some romance and excitement into your life. I am not sure what it looks like for you but dramatic looking drinks like this Berry Crush cocktail is a good place to start! Masquerade masks and feather boas are optional but no harm in trying!

What is Berry Crush?

The recipe for this Berry Crush cocktail calls for seasonal berries. Raspberries, strawberries, blueberries or blackberries will all taste delicious in this cocktail. I happen to have a bucketful of wild blackberries stored in my freezer. It is a vodka based cocktail but you can use gin if it’s your preference. I also used creme de cassis, which is a blackcurrant liqueur and it gives this drink and deep and delicious taste.  You can also use a raspberry flavoured liqueur like Chambord.  I also used fresh pomegranate seeds because they are delicious and look like little jewels. I topped it with soda water for some extra sparkle but if you want real drama go for Prosecco or Champagne! More Berry Inspired Cocktail Recipes to Try:
