Bread. Cheese. Garlic. Butter. <– Four out of the five best things known to man all stuffed inside one recipe. The last one is chocolate, incase you’re wondering 😉 I have confession to make. I think I’ve eaten almost half of this loaf of pull apart garlic bread — all by myself. It’s so inappropriate that while I’m thinking about it being so inappropriate, I’m also thinking about maybe sneaking another bite at the same time. Golden brown, toasty bread stuffed with pockets of oozing mozzarella. The garlic butter melts into the crevices and the top has a big sprinkle of fresh herbs for some color. All I need is a boat of marinara sauce on the side to dip this in. I’m going to dare you to NOT eat this straight from the oven. Cheesy garlic pull apart bread is the perfect interactive appetizer or centerpiece to a cheese board situation. Trust me, it’s a welcome sight if you’re serving pizza or pasta. You could even serve minestrone soup as a side dish with this bread to dip. How amazing does that sound? Let me cure your midweek blues, all you need is a little pull apart garlic bread in your life.
Ingredients for cheesy pull-apart garlic bread:
Garlic Cloves: You’ll want a handful of garlic cloves that are mince dup for this recipe.Fresh Parsley: We’ll add a handful of fresh parsley to the food processor when we’re making the garlic butter.Olive Oil: the olive oil goes into the butter mixture to help thin it out a bit. Bread: I like to use store-bought sourdough bread or a country loaf for this. But you could certainly make a batch of my no knead bread dough, bake it and use that for this recipe instead.Unsalted Butter: You can use both salted and unsalted butter for this recipe. Just be sure to cut back on the salt if you use salted butter.Kosher salt: we’ll add a pinch of salt to the garlic bread butter. If you’re using salted butter, use less salt in the recipe.Deli-Sliced Mozzarella: I like to use deli-sliced mozzarella instead of shredded mozzarella cheese for this recipe. Though either will work, the deli slices are much easier to cut into small squares and pop into the grid batter of the loaf of bread. It definitely cuts down on the prep time this with way too!
