date Energy balls
Date energy bites are a no-bake, super simple recipe that takes just 5 ingredients and 10 minutes! I love having these energy balls on hand for a nutrient rich breakfast or snack. They are the perfect pick me up to keep you going on those busy days! Dates are high in fiber, antioxidants, and are naturally sweet, which makes these date energy balls a wonderfully sweet treat! They are also amazing for any special diet requirements. They are naturally gluten-free, vegan and oil-free!
date energy bite ingredients
Dates: You will want dried dates for this recipe. I love using Medjool dates since they are sweet and squishy for the perfect consistency. You can easily find dried dates at your local grocery store or online here. Just make sure to remove the pits first! Nuts: You can use any kind of nuts that you prefer. I used walnuts, but you can use pecans, cashews, or peanuts! Ground Flax Seed: Ground flax seed is a super easy way to add some extra fiber and nutrients! If you don’t have ground flax seed, you can substitute it with hemp seed, chia seed or old fashioned oats! Shredded Unsweetened Coconut: Shredded coconut adds some texture and flavor! Here is the brand of shredded coconut we like! Vanilla: A bit of vanilla extract is great for flavor as well.
