The Best Pork Fried Rice Recipe
It is no secret here that I love fried rice. And this pork fried rice is no different. Pork fried rice is easy to make, super flavorful, and is a one pan meal that the whole family will love! You can pack as many vegetables into this pork fried rice recipe as you wish. I like mine with a lot of veggies, and I could add even more and still love it! It makes great leftovers, which means this is a wonderful meal prep recipe, too! This recipe starts with cold already cooked rice. If you know you are going to want to make this pork fried rice recipe beforehand, make sure to make the rice with plenty of time for it to cool before being used here!
Ingredients Needed
FOr the Pork
Pork Tenderloin: Dice it up into bite-sized cubes! Light Brown Sugar: A little brown sugar will help the edges caramelize and get crunchy in the pan! Sesame Oil: For a slight nutty flavor. Soy Sauce: This will serve as the salt here and provide a deep, umami flavor! Cornstarch: This also helps the pork to get crispy edges while still maintaining a moist center.
For the Fried Rice
Butter: This is the secret ingredient that is the key to making delicious, restaurant quality fried rice! It might seem like a lot of butter, but compared to what the hibachi restaurants use, this is not a lot. It will add flavor and really crisp up the rice nicely! Eggs: Scramble the eggs until they are just cooked! Vegetables: I used onion, carrots, garlic and peas here. I like my pork fried rice to have a lot of veggies! Rice: You will need already cooked, cold white rice. I think long grain white rice is best! Soy Sauce & Oyster Sauce: A combination of soy sauce and oyster sauce offer a deep umami flavor! Sesame Oil: For just a hint of nutty flavor.
